The ‘Top End’ of Australia is a region defined by rain not temperature so is best visited in the dry season, June to October. World Heritage listed Kakadu NP is the highlight of the region. Endemic White-lined Honeyeater, Banded Fruit-Dove, Chestnut-quilled Rock-Dove and Rainbow Pitta are found amongst its sandstone gorges.
